As a descendant of Andean indigenous and European, for a long time, I did not feel like I fit in anywhere, yet I was able to understand all worlds.

When I became aware of this prophecy, it inspired me to continue learning from traditional wisdom keepers and to get to the core of the indigenous consciousness. Through my exploration, I discovered that this way of consciousness in the core is the same for all indigenous peoples worldwide, but the form is what changes.

This diversity is so valuable for the thriving of our human family and must be cherished and protected.

The Rainbow prophecy is believed to refer to the keepers of the legends, rituals, and other myths that will be needed when the time comes to restore the health of the Earth. It is said that these legendary beings will return on a day of awakening, when all people will unite and create a new world of justice, peace, and freedom. They will reteach the values and knowledge that have been lost in time, demonstrating how to have wisdom and extra-perception, and how unity, harmony, and love are the only ways forward.

This Native American legend that tells of a time when people of different races and cultures will come together to restore balance to the Earth. According to the prophecy, the world will become sick due to unrelenting greed.

In this time of great chaos, the Native American people will be all but helpless. But then Light will come from the East, and the natives will begin to find their strength, their pride, and their wisdom. So will many of their brothers and sisters of the other nations –white, yellow, and black– who would feel strongly the calling of Spirit.

Together, they would form a group of Warriors of the Rainbow, who will use peaceful means to restore balance to the Earth. The tasks of Rainbow Warriors would be many and great, but they would bring an end to the destruction and desecration of the Earth. This legend is a symbol of the Spirit and the union of peoples, which many Native American tribes believe is essential.

In Native American traditions, the rainbow symbolically occupies a special place.
